Leah
M. MacDuffie
has been directing the Woodinville
Community Band since February 2006. She holds both a BA
and MM in Music Education, concentrating in instrumental
music, with a minor in flute performance from the State
University of New York (SUNY) College at Fredonia,
graduating with honors. Leah earned her Performer’s
Certificate while completing her undergraduate work
which is the highest performance award given by the
Fredonia School of Music. Leah taught for several years
in the Buffalo area before relocating to Washington.
In addition to directing the Woodinville band Leah maintains a private flute studio, she’s the Music Director at Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Duvall and is the band director at St. Joseph’s Catholic School at the Snoqualmie Campus. Leah continues to perform whenever she can, playing for weddings (flute and voice). Leah resides in Duvall with her husband, Rick, and their daughter, Samantha.
